I reccommend Wesley Lewis as a faithful minister of the Gospel and a sincere and competent pastor. I have known Wesley and his wife Amanda for more than 20 years and have seen them function successfully in various ministry capacities over that time.
Wesley passes the charachter test of 1st Timothy 3 and Titus 1 with flying colors. He is levelheaded with a sharp mind and a wide skill set. He is is uniquely gifted to defuse tense situation with grace and humility and is thouroughly equipped for pastoral work.
I have seen his charachter and work ethic in multiple setting and commend him with confidence as "a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." I would hire him into an executive, technical or pastoral role without reservation.
Amanda is an excellent wife and mother as well as a fitting compliment to Wesley in ministry. She is smart, discerning and candid. She and Wesley make a good team in both the church and the home.
- Clint Clifton, Founding Pastor, Pillar Church, SBC City Missionary for Greater Washington DC
I have had the privilage of knowing Wesley since 2005. I first met Wesley when he came on staff at Oakleaf Baptist Church as the youth pastor. He quickly took charge of the youth program and began to institute numerous in-reach and outreach programs that were directly responsible for the growth of the youth department. In the past few years Wesley has transitioned to a more pastoral role as executive pastor. His organizational skills have been instrumental in streamlining and enhancing many of the ministries of the church. Wesley is a gifted communicator, manager, and leader.
Wesley's academic accomplishments and ministerial experiences have been tried in the fire of a growing and active church. Based on my personal knowledge of Wesley, I do not hesitate to recommend him for any pastoral position that God may open for him to serve in. Wesley has more than shown himself ready and able to serve the Lord in any ministerial capacity.

I have has the priviage of knowing Wesley for over 15 years. I have watched him grow from college student to a husband, minister and dad. His passion to see people come to know Christ and grow in that relationship is amazing.
Wesley has a great ability to connect with people where they are and help them move to where they need to be. Wesley is creative in his use of technology to connect with today's generation. He is a lead worshiper and can create enviroments where people connect with God and each other.
His planning, budgeting, and administrative skills helped to build a successful youth program. His relational skills have allowed him to continue to speak truth into the life of former sutdents well into their adult age.
His heart beat is the same as Jesus, Love God and Love Others. I would highly recommend my friend and partner in ministry for the lead position you have at your church.
- Ryan Raymond, Student Pastor, Grace Fellowship
Wesley was not what one would consider the "typical" youth pastor; he didn't jump around, act endlessly excited, or display generally extroverted traits. Instead, he offered a reserved, reflective, and discerning demeanor that drew others to him, both youth and adults alike. This deliberate consideration of his words and actions, along with his shocking ability to truly and kindly listen to the concerns of adolescents- so foreign to many adults- set Wesley apart as a unique individual, devoted to following not the status quo, but the call of Christ on his life.
His determination to follow our Lord's calling is a reflection of the picture we see in Scripture of Christ himself. There is nothing showy about Wesley, only an honest and authentic desire to complete the task laid before him: to make disciples of all nations, not least of which those around him who have been placed in his spiritual care.
During my time with Wesley, he has proven an intelligent, patient, and abundantly willing follower of Christ. Wherever he serves, he is sure to offer a thoughtful and humble nudge out of one's comfort zone, for the sake of continued growth for the Kingdom of God. I can think of no other person whom I would more heartily offer my highest level of recommendation to lead a church body.

I have had the privilege of knowing Wesley and his family for 10 years now and have worked side by side with him in the youth ministry for 6 of those years. I have first hand seen the compassion and drive he has for the ministry. I have seen him help so many kids who would not have had a way, I have seen him smile and laugh and also have his heart broken too. Thru everything he strives to reach each and every person individually and also reach far into communities. I've seen the true difference he's made in so many lives. I've witnessed his heart full of compassion in third world countries reaching out to children and adults alike spreading the word of our Lord.
Personally within my own family he has always been an ear for me and my youth children. A strong hand. Always has words of wisdom and advice. He has also helped my children attend youth functions when I didn't see a way possible. He doesn't want for any child to be left behind and not have the opportunity to grow in Christ.
As for me and my family I can personally attest to the difference he's made in my family & so many lives and the outreach to the community planting seeds wherever he goes.
- Shannon Gordon, Youth Leader, Oakleaf Baptist Church
Wesley Lewis has been one of the most influential people in my life.
He has taught me so much about God and a living a life for him. He has a wonderful way of really breaking down lessons to be relatable and easily understood for the youth. Wesley creates a fun environment that excites his students to learn more about God. In high school, I joined the praise band and became a leader to the youth group. During this time, I was able to really get to know Wesley, not only as a youth pastor, but as a friend and mentor. He has always been there for me, no matter what the situation. Wesley makes himself available to all as a support system and someone to lean on.
At the end of my junior year of high school, I was faced with the toughest challenge of my life. Wesley was there to support me, encourage me, and most importantly show me God’s love. He lives his life for God, and it shows through in every aspect of his life. Over the years, Wesley has become like a second father to me. Now, after moving on from the youth group and moving to another state, I still use the lessons Wesley taught me in my everyday life. I strive to show my love for God through everything I do. I am so glad to have met Wesley, and to have learned from him.
